Work for Us

You are probably already working in a school, but looking to supplement your income.

On the other hand, you may be looking for a career change. Whatever your situation, if you are an experienced teacher – or tutor – with a subject-specialism in English or Maths, we would like to hear from you.

Simplified Education has learning centres in Croydon and Clapham, so we are looking for candidates who live near – or are happy to travel to – these areas. In the case of our Home Tutoring service, you may be asked to travel further afield, as we try to be geographically flexible.

Simplified Education Tutor with Student at Home

How It Works

You would need to be comfortable working for us on a self-employed basis. The services that we provide are detailed below.

  • After School Scheme: This comprises of a 40 minute workshop that will be attended by no more than 5 children.
  • Home Tutoring: Because it is not always convenient for parents to use our After School scheme, we also provide this additional service for them.

All children will be working toward the National Curriculum. For this reason, we want to hear from candidates with a UK teaching qualification and, ideally, experience of having worked in a UK school. However, all applications will be seriously considered.

The Application Process

Please note: The follow stages apply to After School and Home Tutoring.

Please send us your CV and a covering letter. You will then be asked to attend an interview. Before making a formal offer of work, we observe you tutoring at one of our centres. If you are successful, then full training will be provided. This will last for 2-4 weeks. After this – and pending a CRB check – you can begin tutoring for us.

Teamwork and trust are important. That is why we value – and encourage – feedback from both parents and tutors. We will always pay your agency commission on time and, should you require it, provide you with full access to your payroll records.

We look forward to hearing from you.
