About Us

My name is Agnes Mamerga and I'm the founder of Simplified Education.  

I'm an experienced, qualified teacher and I hold a 2:1 degree in Business and IT studies.  I'm also a mother who recognised that tutoring agencies were often failing to provide adequate, ongoing support for parents.

Prior to forming Simplified Education I provided tutoring services for five years to children and adults either as an employee or on a private basis.  I also spent six years in schools teaching Maths and English.

I began Simplified Education in 2009 as an After School scheme that specialised in providing additional literacy and numeracy support for primary level pupils.  I soon built up a positive reputation for providing quality tutors and for listening to, and acting upon, feedback from clients. 

The After School scheme was so popular that I was able to acquire more premises for my business. The company is now split across two sites: one in Croydon, which is attended by 45 pupils, and a newly-built development in Thornton Heath and Bromley.  

We are now a very successful team and provide additional education to all learners in Croydon, Surrey and its surrounding areas.  Our pass rate is exceptional and consistent.

For geographical reasons, the After School scheme was not suitable for all parents.  We expanded our range of services to include Home Tutoring. This meant my team and I could accommodate requests from anyone, not just those living close enough to a designated centre, to make After School tuition a viable option.  At present, there are over 500 families registered on our database for home tuition.

The tutoring programmes supplied by Simplified Education are designed for pupils following the National Curriculum; teaching will always be relevant to your child’s particular academic aims.
