About us

Simplified Education was created by Agnes Mamerga: an experienced teacher and mother who recognised that tutoring agencies were often failing to provide adequate, ongoing support for parents.

Prior to forming the agency, Agnes worked for five years on an employed – and private – basis, providing tutoring services to children and adults. She also spent six years in schools teaching Maths and English.

Agnes holds a 2.1 degree in Business and IT and is constantly updating her skills. Outside of work, her commitment to working with – and helping – children is reflected by the free events that she organises for them.  Chess Tournaments and bootsales are just two examples, the proceeds of which go straight to charity.

The company began as an After School scheme that specialised in providing additional Literacy and Numeracy support for primary level pupils. The quality of its tutors and its commitment to listening to – and acting upon – received feedback, meant that its reputation quickly grew.

The popularity of the After School scheme led to further premises being acquired. The company is now split across two sites: one in Croydon, which is attended by 45 pupils, and a newly built development in Thornton Heath and Bromley.

For geographical reasons, the After School scheme was not suitable for all parents. Simplified Education therefore expanded its range of services to include Home Tutoring. This meant that they could accommodate requests from anyone not living close enough to a designated centre to make After School tuition a viable option. At present, there are over 500 families registered in our database for home tuition.

The tutoring programs supplied by Simplified Education are designed for pupils following the National Curriculum – so the teaching will always be relevant to your child’s particular academic aims.
